Race and governmental mistrust

This question just came up in a thread on my site:

Does anyone have data on overlap between trust or distrust/fear of other races, and trust/distrust of government?

Anyone know of any such data?

    The group 'Political Souls' would be a good place to ask that question...

    In Britain, I can see how it is relevant. Those [white Anglo-Saxons] who mistrust immigrants, particularly Muslims (not a 'race'), also tend to be anti-Labour nowadays, because the left here are quite slack on immigration policy.

    Don't have data though. Hard to quantify - poll door-to-door? "Are you prejudiced...."? Can't see that.

    i'd mark down anyone that says, "me?! no, of course not!" too quickly as being racist. ;-)
