This nails it for me.
I love Europeans but I do not like Western European Socialism.
This is why I do not support Democrats. I do not want to become Greece and Spain. So you people here that are not Americans. When you ask yourself why to people in the USA support republicans? It's mostly because they are not democrats who are only interested in taxing the RICH and reditributing wealth. That's what democrats do. That is all the party is about. They want to turn us into Europe.
Half of the USA does not want to be Europe - I am in that half. Nothing personal!

― Winston Churchill
“I collect collectivisms. I’ve already got socialism and communism, and all I need is fascism to complete the set. I’m looking to trade my dusty democracy, but Uncle Sam isn’t interested in a deal at this time. ”
― Jarod Kintz, 99 Cents For Some Nonsense
“Political corruption, social greed, and Americanized quasi-socialism can ruin even the most wonderful places. California proved that.”
― Tiffany Madison

MOST REPUBLICANS ARE FOR A SAFETY NET. I AM FOR A SAFETY NET.
I AM AGAINST CRADLE TO GRAVE ENTITLEMENTS.

I just don't think we're going to get another shot at it after this stupid mistake.
If it is so important to get rid of Obama why choose such an idiot to put up against him? Romney changes his opinions more often than his underwear and is less principled than a dope peddler at a school gate. The only reason I can see is that he will be easier to manipulate by those who pull his strings; the corporate campaign funders and the cult to which he belongs... Is he really the best the GOP could come up with?
AntwortenLöschenYep! I think it will be good enough to win as well. It's why I supported Romney from the beginning. Republicans are not perfect and i have never said they are.
AntwortenLöschenThey are just NOT democrats.
That's good enough for me.
The countries that are now growing the fastest and which have the strongest fiscal conditions are those that are practicing socialistic capitalism. The countries that are now growing the slowest or are actually contracting are those that are practicing conservative economic policies.
AntwortenLöschenIf Romney is the best... with his inability to keep to the same story from day to day and his ignorance of anything to do with foreign policies as evidenced by his fund raising tour of Europe (isn't that ilegal btw?). Not to mention his not wanting to bother about nearly half of the country... then America and the GOP are in a much worse state than anyone would like to admit.
AntwortenLöschenIf that is the criteria you choose to use for voting, i.e. 'they are just not democrats' then it is also understandable how a weak minded puppet like Romney would look so good, he must look like an intelectual giant to someone who's reasoning is that poor.
If the welfare state was really the cause of the Greek and Spanish crisis, how's that countries having a strong welfare state are not going through a crisis?
AntwortenLöschen(from wikipedia:) "A welfare state is a "concept of government in which the state plays a key role in the protection and promotion of the economic and social well-being of its citizens. It is based on the principles of equality of opportunity, equitable distribution of wealth, and public responsibility for those unable to avail themselves of the minimal provisions for a good life. The general term may cover a variety of forms of economic and social organization."[1]
AntwortenLöschenModern welfare states include the Nordic countries, such as Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland (...)"

"A free market, we can say, does not exist and cannot exist without the state's intervention", Karl Popper
"Private capital tends to become concentrated in few hands, partly because of competition among the capitalists, and partly because technological development and the increasing division of labor encourage the formation of larger units of production at the expense of smaller ones. The result of these developments is an oligarchy of private capital the enormous power of which cannot be effectively checked even by a democratically organized political society. This is true since the members of legislative bodies are selected by political parties, largely financed or otherwise influenced by private capitalists who, for all practical purposes, separate the electorate from the legislature. The consequence is that the representatives of the people do not in fact sufficiently protect the interests of the underprivileged sections of the population. Moreover, under existing conditions, private capitalists inevitably control, directly or indirectly, the main sources of information (press, radio, education). It is thus extremely difficult, and indeed in most cases quite impossible, for the individual citizen to come to objective conclusions and to make intelligent use of his political rights.", from "Why Socialism?" by Albert Einstein.

AntwortenLöschenEvery election is a choice. The choices may not be ideal.
AntwortenLöschenI am choosing not to vote for Obama.
Why is this a problem?
The choice is not real, both parties are puppets of their paymasters whose greed is taking presidence over the needs of all Americans. Those who protest the so called 'new world order' are happy to vote for puppets who will deliver that very thing just because they happen to be in a party they like.
AntwortenLöschenThere is no problem with you not voting for Obama, but why then vote for his Rebublican clone? There is no difference between these people and if voting could really change things they woud have banned it years ago.
You can kid yourself about the piffling little details of the non existent differences between the candidates, but until the system is changed, your government (which has been bought and paid for) will continue to shaft you while you sit there thinking how good it is you can vote to 'change things'
Puppets - Greed - Screwing US!
AntwortenLöschenYou are about 25% correct. Presidents have a lot of power. Especially US presidents who can bypass congress and go to war.
They also appoint judges and veto bills.
It makes a HUGE difference who is in the White House.
Obama has had 4 years!!!!!
The president is doing poorly in the polls because he has a TERRIBLE RECORD!!
* 23 Million Unemployed & Underemployed
* 44 Months Unemployment over 8%
* 46 Million People on Foodstamps!
* 7.8% Unemployment (It took 4 years and an unprecedented 6 Billion $$ to get us back to where he started)
* 14% Female Unemployment
* 12% Black Unemployment
* 11% Hispanic Unemployment
* 50% Recent Grad Unemployment
* 65.% Workforce Participation - the LOWEST in 31 Years
* 100% Increase in Food Stamps
* 1.25% Growth
* 8.2% Drop in Household Income during Obama's term
* 2 Credit Downgrades (the first in US History!)
* 100% Increase in Gas Price
* 40% Loss to average family net worth
* 25% Increase in in state college tuition
* 15% Increase in Food Prices
* $5 Trillion in additional debt
* Embassies attacked and our Ambassador dead
President Obama's policies are a DISASTER!!
For this reason alone I am voting Romney!
You may vote for Romney, Randy, it is your democratic right to do so. He is selling you illusions imo, but you seem to like them. Go and follow these illusions, but be aware of the echo that comes from the rest of the world. You can't ignore reality till the end of times.
AntwortenLöschenWell, anyway, even when the whole world is smashed to smithers by their fault, I'm sure they'll find a way to blame Obama for it.
Just like they blame everything on Bush now? What's the difference?
AntwortenLöschenThe rest of the world will always give us - as you say - an "echo". Who cares? What has changed under Obama that the world now loves us? Nothing.
guess what... there are some who have benefitted from all the Presidents since 1980... and they are the same people who have funded those people into office: and it is not the American people.
AntwortenLöschenVote for who you want, it will make no difference, but don't kid yourself that there will be any difference except in the colour in the banners at the winners speech.
That's true. lol. It seems like a choice between pest and cholera.
