Just scaring!

A grim Ministry of Defense bulletin issued to Prime Minister Putin and President Medvedev today states that President Hu has “agreed in principal” that the only way to stop the West’s aggression led by the United States is through “direct and immediate military action” and that the Chinese leader has ordered his Naval Forces to “prepare for warfare.”
Hu’s call for war joins Chinese Rear Admiral and prominent military commentator Zhang Zhaozhong who, likewise, warned this past week that: “China will not hesitate to protect Iran even with a Third World War,” and Russian General Nikolai Makarov who grimly stated last week: “I do not rule out local and regional armed conflicts developing into a large-scale war, including using nuclear weapons.”...

  2. LOL @ Diio

Saw this just this afternoon, Bags, at the same source where you found it. Educated guess ;)

Spent 10 minutes drilling to source... it checks out. Oh well. It has been said for ages the world ends in 2012... I really don't think even a Republican US government has the bravado to start a war with Iran AND China (Israel do), but I notice with increasing frequency that only China, bar none, stand in the way of the US doing anything they please, to anyone they like.

Has Zhaozhong been sacked yet, anyone?

  3. Incidentally, I am reminded of a Biblical prophecy an old Born-Again pal told me a few years ago... (yes, seriously)...

He said [China] would invade [Israel] via [Moscow]... is that in the Bible, those with expertise?

Lots going on re: Russia, too... days like this, I should consolidate those sources and blog. Just haven't got my head around it yet. Is 'Color Revolution' workable in a nation as large and powerful as Russia?

  4. 军事评论家张召忠 Is a kind of interpretor who;s job it seems is to make predictions, he has quite a track record. Had to search Chinese sites to find more about him...Luckily Google has a good translator.
The above is a bad translation and interpretation of an original but more important the tone is completely different.
process: I translated Zhang Zhaozhong via google in simplified Chinese, and searched chinese blog pages

  5. So, if I put ' 军事评论家张召忠 ' into Google... let's see what happens...

  6. yes, you will need to translate page by page, it is time consuming,(I added dates to find the latest) It's not often that I do this but a new (Chinese) world opened to me. I'm going to do this more often.

I wonder if this link will go to the auto translated version of that page...

    Thanks Mr Long...

  8. That would be a matter of interpretation since China and Moscow are not mentioned in the Bible at all. Over the last 1900 years those who claim prophetic knowledge of the Bible have been assigning political happenings of their own times to the so called end times. Most of the end times prophecies are in the Book of Revelation and are so vague as to be turn-able to just about any situation. Elsewhere the Christian Zionists have been discussed, they have used the same verses and come up with a different view as to who is going to be the protagonists in the end days. No doubt other groups have other different ideas too. As a means of being able to tell exactly what is going to happen politically, the Book of revelation is so wooly as to be near useless.

As to China invading Israel, there would need to be a massive build up for that 9which has not happened yet) and the USA will not allow anything to happen to Israel as it is seen as just an extension of America (figuratively) to some. A declaration of war on Israel by China would be seen as a declaration of war on the US... or at least would have the same consequences.

  9. When I first read and then posted this article I must say I didn't mind how reliable the sources were. If it wasn't spam at all, as you Surjay thought.

The point for me was, that Russia and China again could be allies, a fact that has been almost impossible the last 50 years. This could change the geopolitical balance thoroughly and the consequences are scaring but also food for thoughts.

The question is, if Russia and China co-operate to protect a country against being attacked military by the USA, can this block the USA? We know that the USA has the highest defense budget in the world, more than many following countries together. Would a Russian-Chinese alliance be enough to make a difference? Together with the debt crisis, China as mayor creditor of the USA, maybe?

  10. The Russia-Chinese alliance? I am sure it would be more than enough deterrence to the US govt. They are nuclear armed nations with reliable delivery systems. A war with THEM will be unthinkable.
About Iran though, they have understood well enough that right now, the US govt military, is trying to make a point. That they can do what they want to do, wherever they want to do it. Afghanistan, Iraq.. Libya. The Chinese and Russians may see Iran as the last outpost that needs to be defended to keep this continued, determined and persistent aggression in check.
But how it may work, I have no idea. In another similar news article, Obama says, all US military power will now be focused in Asia to *contain* 'asian powers' . If that news is true, there is another Cold war on the horizon.

  11. No , no more that is the old way of doing warfare,
Now you just need enough drones (of all kinds) and some AI swarm programming .
A one way trip would suffice to eradicate a problem.(The real people would in the mean time be able to focus on pure defence.)
The one with the most resources wins....

  12. The mechanics of how the battle would progress are unimportant, an attack is an attack whether by drones, cruise missiles or cavalry charge. A superpower taking on the Israelis would get the wrath of America turned on them, the key point here is the political brown nosing that the USA does to Israel and the way that the Israelis can do no wrong in the eyes of America.

As for drones, only this month we have seen that they are not so perfect, electric countermeasures gave the Iranians a big propaganda win with the one they captured.

As for the one with the biggest resources, who owns most of the debts which America owes and which country has the largest manufacturing base now that America has so willingly exported theirs in the name of profit? Not to mention the ability of waging cyber warfare and sheer numbers of people serving in the military. The USA may well have the biggest arsenal of nukes but if they want to have any survivors from a war with China, they are useless.

Once again the American war mongers are being poked with a political stick and once again they will go off half cocked and enter yet another war that they cannot win. The history of their battles since the second world war show how far from reality their politics have been. When it comes to global politics, the American idea of shoot first aske questions later is not very clever.
