Rats Multiply - The U.S. War Addiction: : ICH - Information Clearing House
http://cosmicrat.multiply.com/links/item/123 Our war industries need enemies. If we can't create enough of them by enraging people, we can always just rent some. It just costs a little more when you're funding both sides.
I read this yesterday. None of it came as a big surprise. It's been pretty obvious for anyone willing to cut through the "bullshit" and read between the lines.
Unfortunately, most people just don't seem to give a damn.
Interesting bit about the Congo, though. It makes one wonder about some of the stories about "ethnic violence" that suddenly seem to appear. We don't hear about who might be behind the scenes stirring things up.
Noam Chomsky's been talking about it for decades... the "behind the scenes" wheeling and dealing, the secret arms deals with various "insurgents". All of it carefully orchestrated to create chaos and war in regions we want to control, thereby giving us the perfect excuse to intervene on "humanitarian" grounds.
It's actually quite sickening. Not surprising, really, that so many people choose to live in denial about it all. The truth, if faced, is would make a complete mockery of everything we have been taught to believe in.
The investigation is complicated by, among other things, the fact that some of the private security companies are owned by relatives of President Hamid Karzai and other senior Afghan officials. Mr. Popal, for instance, is a cousin of Mr. Karzai, and Western officials say that Watan Risk Management’s largest shareholder is Mr. Karzai’s brother Qayum.
Interesting details are often left out of discussion and are ignored for a reason.

I spread it at StumbleUpon.
