Scotland was a kingdom till 1707 but we have our own Parlaiment & always had our own flag just keeping you informed...:) the Union Jack is an amalgamtion ofthe flags of Scotland ,England ,Ireland & Wales

I always thought a dragon in the centre of the Union Jack would be appropriate... instead we have one in Buckingham Palace
the Welsh flag ( dragon ) was not incoporated intoUnion Jack because Wales had already been united to England when the first version ofthe Union Jackwas designed http://www.ujnews.com/html/flags.shtml
