Terrorism Group on Multiply

http://www.terrorism.multiply.com
Since my first step in moving to create this group was to assure the moderator of 'Terrorism' that my intent was not to attempt to compete with his project, but rather that I hope they can complement each other, the least I can do is link to his group here.

The difference between these two groups' direction should be abundantly clear.

  1. Sorry i can't go there, im banned for having a different opinion than the admin wants to hear. And for fighting back when attacked.

  2. Ah you and I share a different opinion of that "gentleman"
It is one thing to keep a lid on a group of diverse people with some time severely disparate opinions and an entirely different when an admin or mod censors opinions that differ from his own.

    But this too shall pass.

  3. He's also my friend. I know the history better than anyone. Quit bitching :p

  4. You'll also notice that it's the oldest of these groups... a well maintained affair that has stood the test of time. If clamping down on Islamophobia has been necessary to acheive that, who can blame him?

  5. Blame...Not quite sure that is an accurate assessment of the general consensus. I think the vigorous opposition seen is more deeply rooted in the fact that denial and appeasement are more aptly akin to a complicit, supportive ideology regarding an obvious evil.

  6. I don't agree that it is an 'obvious evil', if u mean Islam in general. The radicals who flew a plane into New York have no more to do with Islam than the KKK have to do with Christianity. No one is appeasing or supporting radicals. I think our failure to agree stems from two things. First, the apparent belief among neocons that 'might is right'. Second, that so much of that is driven by an ultra-conservative Christian faith. It turns Iraq, Afghanistan etc into a 'Holy' war, when it needn't be. We science-minded atheists see it for the capitalist oil-grab that it is.
Speaking only for myself, I oppose things like Israel's treatment of Gaza, not because I'm pro-Islam, anti-semitic or have private interests. I'm just against war-for-profit. Or indeed war at all. Sure, if a dictator needs removing, ok. But where did Saddam get those weapons he used on the Kurds? And who ultimately 'created' the Taliban? Who benefits from the subsequent war? Same people, generally speaking. And I'm sorry if you disagree, but I guess there's to much Secular Humanist in me to be ok with that.

  7. How on Earth may I ask can you describe defending your population from indiscriminate rocket fire with profiteering...This patent state of denial never ceases to amaze me...This the denial of evil of which I speak. Those that defend Islam deny the Jihadism of Islam that drives such acts of terror. If Islam is a religion of peace and are abhorred by the perpetrators of such violence and are truly civil and peaceful and desire coexistence with other theologies then why haven't they stopped Hamas and other terror organizations...Jihadists if you will, from such acts? Answer me that?

  8. I don't see why the Islamic world should want to 'stop' Hamas. They got elected because the people of Palestine needed what they had to offer, not because of any Jihad. You make it sound as if all Islam is radical, which is utter tripe.
In my relative ignorance I can only think of an analogy closer to home. Northern Ireland. Even if McGuinness and Adams and everyone else is committed to peace, there will be rebel splinter groups like the C.I.R.A. These, u might say, are the 'Jihadis' of that cause.
Bombing Gaza like Israel have recently has already made it a certainty there will be another generation of 'Holy Warriors'. This is why might is not right. It perpetuates violence and suffering. And the same old warmongers are laughing all the way to the bank.
What chance Hamas infiltrated by Mossad, or the IRA by MI5/6?

  10. Regarding Hamas specifically, Syria and Iran, their primary benefactors...Both Islamic regimes are perpetuating this anti Semitic violence not only at a profit but at the sacrifice of the name of the religion they profess to hold so dearly but more significantly at the cost of the Palestinian people. All this furor about "poor Palestinians this poor Palestinians that" is utter Bullshit! They are pawns in the broader hypocritical scheme guilty of which are not only the Islamic world, Arab and non Arab, but the whining ass Non Islamic anti Semitic world. For once I would like to hear some real honesty in this regard...Loudly proclaim the Naziesque Anti Semitism which is at the root of all this...Not profiteering...Deeply ingrained desire to see the Jews wiped from the face of the Earth...For once!
